Chō Gyokko
姚玉虎 (Yáo Yù Hǔ) or Chō Gyokko allegedly began the Gyokko Ryu line of transmission. Using 指頭術 he defeated a tiger and gained the moniker Kotō-Ō (虎倒王 "Tiger chopping king").1
