Chase your Fears

Dear Matthew,

Chase your fears. Prioritize doing whatever U fear to do. Doing so will accelerate your learning.

U do not fear that which U already know how to do. Therefore if U avoid fear U fail to grow, because U only do what U already know. In order to grow U must seek out opportunities that U fear. In this way U can not help but learn.

Even in the worst case where U fail miserably U will have learned about your own limits. U will have calibrated when fear actually provides a useful signal. In most cases though, U will simply realize that U need not fear so much, and U will gain new skills.
