Oh, greatest city in the world. City of dreams, movie star. Concrete jungle where dreams are made of. Around the world people dream of U. U attract the best and welcome all the rest. U've taken in the downtrodden by the million. U reach high into the sky, deep into the earth, to the north, south, east, and west U expand. Ever expanding Empire city, U conquer the hearts and minds of all.
Crossroads of the world, New York City. Every road leads to U, New York City. From here one can go anywhere, New York City.
Aye, come before us New York City that we may honor U by our ascension. Like the countless elevators within U, lift us up to greatness.
We may not remain within U forever, but know that wherever we go for the span of our lives we will spread your praises. We will tell stories of your greatness so that those hearing will wish to join U. The best and the brightest we will point toward U, that they might find glory within U and thus glorify U. We ask that within your confines the forces of transit align in our favor. Subways, trains, buses, cars, bikes, scooters, and any other mode of transit convey us to our destinations with a minimum of hassle. We reliably arrive in a timely fashion. Where mishaps occur they do so only in a manner that aligns with our destiny.
We ask that within your confines whatever we wish to accomplish has the force of network behind it. U bring into our lives the key figures who will aid our work. Whomsoever we desire to meet U bring here through the force of your gravity. Open every door for us, let us enter into every organization, club, and event that we desire.
We ask that within your confines we always have comfortable and affordable housing. We ask that when moving house we find amazingly favorable deals. We ask that our homes stay in working order and receive maintenance promptly. We ask that we always receive our security deposits back and that agents never scam us.
We ask that within your confines city officials, police, and other agents of law treat us with dignity and respect, and overlook our trespasses and transgressions.
We ask that outside of your confines U protect us as your ambassadors. That as we praise your good name, your good name lends us credibility and welcome. Most beloved of all cities, who could harbor ill-will towards your citizens? See to it that wherever we go we have a path back to U.
Above all we ask for liberty. Brandish your blazing laser torch high and emblazon the path of our desire, slicing off the shackles that bind us to the dross of life. Inflame our desires and emancipate us into the truth of our inborn freedom.
